Vena Ramroop
Lead Teacher
1 – 3 Grade classroom
Ages 6 to 9

My name is Vena Ramroop, and I am excited to be teaching the 1st – 3rd grade at Verde Valley Montessori School. I have been involved in education for the last 5 years and have worked at Waldorf Reggio Emilia Inspired and Montessori schools. I spend my weekends working as a teaching assistant for the Unity Children’s Program. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education, Bachelors of Art in Language and Mind Psychology, a public school license, an ABA paraprofessional certificate, and an American Montessori Certificate. I also have training in Reggio Emilia education as well. I was inspired to become a teacher after working with gifted children and autistic adults for several years. I love to help children and adults learn, because I am a lifelong learner. One of the highlights of teaching for me was the opportunity to teach a meditation class to the parents of autistic children. It was a great feeling to help educate and support them as well. I am here to help the children to fulfill their highest dreams, to grow their creativity, and to inspire them to love all life.

Suzy Bean
Assistant Teacher

Ages 6 – 9

Suzy Bean studied Education and Eco-psychology at Prescott College, where she received her undergraduate degree. The Education program was unique in its focus on experiential education, and she was exposed to various modalities and student teaching experiences in traditional public, charter, Expeditionary Learning, Waldorf, Montessori, and specialty schools around the southwest. After college, she traveled and explored for several years, taking some time to get to know herself better, beyond her own “school” mentality. She sees the value in learning, allowing oneself to un-learn, and learning again. She hopes to give the kids she works with the reading, writing, and math skills they need to be a confident part of this world, and to also take a step back and honor the whole person they came here to be.
